The VMA’s this year was definitely one for the books. We had
everything from Kanye announcing that he is running for President in 2020 to
Miley Cyrus wearing the craziest of crazy outfits.
We decided to narrow down the true Kings and Queens of the
night and highlight their amazing style.
5. Justin Bieber in Saint Laurent
We have to give a shout out to the Biebs… it was his first big
appearance in a while, and his outfit did not disappoint. Now his hair wasn’t
the greatest, it was a little Kate Gosselin for us, but that’s beside the
point.
We at SMDA liked how he took a very preppy shirt, like his
polka dot button down and made it rugged with a leather jacket. His ripped up
jeans also added a nice pop to the entire outfit, giving it a 90s laid back
look. His golden suede boots are what tied the entire look together; they even
made his hair pop!
4. Taylor Swift in Ashish
We loved the risk that Taylor took by wearing this ensemble.
She still stayed true to her favorite look recently, which is the high waisted
bottoms with a crop top, but yet she pulled off something completely edgy and
different. We loved how her hair was very sleek and her makeup was very “in
your face”, but in the best way possible. Her metallic Christian Louboutin shoes
didn’t match exactly, but that’s what made this entire outfit so spunky; it
worked in ways that you didn’t think it would.
Of course we at SMDA had to mention the fact that it was
hounds tooth sequins, because ROLL TIDE ROLL y’all!
3. Kylie Jenner in Balmain
Kylie is the new Kim, let’s
just be honest. Her fashion risks are amazing and her beauty habits are to die
for, even if they don’t suit everyone’s taste. You have to admit the girl’s
eyebrows and eyelashes are always on fleek.
Kylie rocked this gorgeous
gold mini dress that she paired with beautiful golden lace up heels.
The thing that we loved about
this look is that it was very modest in our opinion. Since Kylie is known for
taking some fashoin risks, she kept it very modest, but still modern. We loved
how she played up her hair with the bangs, but still kept true to herself with
the jet black look.
2. Demi Lovato in Nicholas
Jebran
First of all, can we talk about how gorgeous this girl is!?!
I mean look at that face. Demi managed to let her face shine with her hair
pulled back and out of her face, so that we got to see her features up close
and personal.
The thing that we loved the most about Demi’s look was how neutral,
but fun, it was. Not only is her dress a reflective pink material, but also the
plunging neckline adds so much drama to the outfit, which we love. Demi went
with light pink accessories and a blush-toned lip to pull the entire look
together. We at SMDA don’t think she could have done a better job on looking
“Cool for the Summer” ;)
1. Gigi Hadid AKA bronze goddess in Emilia Wickstead
First things first, this girl could wear a sack and look
gorgeous. She definitely was the best dressed at the 2015 VMA’s in our opinion.
This gorgeous dress shows off her beautiful long legs, without revealing too
much skin. The golden mustard color popped her hair and her bronzy skin.
Everything about this look was so golden and beautiful.
